There are two levels of membership available in ICA: Professional and Associate. Both Professional and Associate members are individuals and small companies (no more than three full-time employees) who work in the communications field, including writers, editors, graphic designers, photographers, video producers, web designers and developers, and specialists in branding, marketing, event management and public relations.

Professional Membership

Professional Members have a minimum of five years experience in the communications field. There is no minimum amount of time required as an independent: we welcome professionals who have recently made the choice to become independent.

Professional Membership in ICA includes the following benefits:

• Access to ICA job listings
• Can post jobs to the job listings
• Online profile and portfolio in ICA Member Directory
• Publish a blog on the ICA site
• Member discounts on special events
• Invitations to members-only events
• May serve on the board and committees

Professional Membership annual dues are $90.

Associate Membership

Associate Membership is open to communicators who have fewer than five years' experience, including college students currently enrolled in a communications-related major.

Associate Membership in ICA includes the following benefits:

• Contact information in ICA Member Directory
• Member discounts on special events
• Invitations to members-only events
• May serve on committees

Associate Membership annual dues are $60.

How to Apply for ICA Membership

Please fill out the ICA Membership Application to be considered for membership. You will receive an invoice upon acceptance of your application.

All members, Professional and Associate, must agree to honor the ICA Principles for Ethical Communication.

Corporate Sponsorship
